What is patchwork?

Patchwork is a sewing technique that involves joining small pieces of fabric to create a larger and more complex piece. The fabric pieces are cut into geometric shapes, such as squares, triangles, or hexagons, and are then joined together to form a larger design.

This technique has been used for centuries to create blankets, quilts, and other decorative and functional items, using complex and detailed patterns and a wide variety of colors and textures. It also requires patience, skill, and a lot of creativity.

The Sitges International Patchwork Festival has become one of the leading events in the textile art sector and attracts a large number of visitors to the city year after year.

Undoubtedly, it represents a perfect opportunity for patchwork enthusiasts to gather, share ideas, and meet other enthusiasts from different countries.
